The special guest was our very own Mrs. Jayne Robertson. The Radiant Rays performed a special tribute to her and presented her with two pink boxing gloves, signed by the entire staff. The school also presented her with a card and gift.

On October 10th, 2017, Dr. Joe from Failure Free Reading spent the day with our teachers helping us learn about strategies for getting our students to read with comprehension and expression.

INTRODUCING FES DUKE TIP SCHOLARS Fairfield Elementary School is proud to recognize Jayvon Sims and Kevin Qualls for being identified as Duke Tip Scholars for the 2017-2018 school year. The Educational Talent Search program helps academically talented students discover, celebrate, and explore their talents through educational enrichment activities, specialized resources, an optional abovegrade-level testing experience, and more. Duke TIP helps gifted students discover their abilities, explore new academic challenges, and celebrate their accomplishments. We are certainly proud of our Stingray Scholars.

FES IS A GREAT PLACE TO LEARN As we aim for our academic goals, we recognize that students must have a plethora of opportunities to apply their learning so that they are successful in social and academic endeavors as they continue to grow. In an effort to educate the whole child, the following clubs and organizations have been put in place to foster social and emotional support. Some of the clubs offered at FES include the Extra Mile Club, Girls in Pearls, WFES News Show, Radiant Rays Cheerleading Squad, Flag Team, Reading Rays Early Childhood After-School Program, Robo Rays, Student Ambassadors and other opportunities waiting to come to fruition. Stellar Stingrays are on a mission to be socially, emotionally, and academically prepared!
