(2) Class Dates: (Schedule may be adjusted by Community Ed/Instructor as needed but parents will be notified in advance should this need to occur) 5th—8th Grade

(3) Regional Competition— January 13th—Carl Ben Eielson Middle School—1601 13th Avenue So., Fargo— Parent provided transportation to the competition/s. Fee:

Transportation:
Transportation is provided from Glyndon to Dilworth after school via the shuttle bus but no transportation is provided when class is over on dates of kickoff meeting, class days or competition.
What is FIRST Lego League
FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) partnered with LEGO to bring STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) learning to students ages 9- 14.
It’s not just playing with LEGOS. It’s Critical Thinking! It’s Problem Solving It’s Programming and Competition!
Team members will build and program robots, research solutions to real world problems, develop innovative ideas to make the world better, and have fun!
2 teams of 5th/6th Grade and 2 teams of 7th/8th Grade. 7 participants or less on each team.
Instructors for DGF’s FLL will be Josh Will and Tara Thomson, DGF Middle School teachers, along with NDSU engineering students when available.

Registration and Payment Information Step 1: Complete online registration form by going to the DGF website (www.dgf.k12.mn.us) and click on DGF Departments, Community Education, Programs, First Lego League and Registration Form by Oct. 15th. Participant registration forms will be screened and those selected for the program will be notified by Oct. 20th. Step 2: Payments are due November 2nd and can be made in one of the following ways:

Tuition Assistance—If you would like to request tuition assistance for your child, please review the Tuition Assistance guideline on the DGF Community Education webpage. If tuition assistance is awarded to your child/ren for this program, balance owed by parent/ guardian is due in full by Nov. 11th.
