The Helicopter Unit performs a wide range of duties. All can be compiled into the following sets: TASKS

15.05. at 06.00 h - Helicopter unit recived first call for engagement; During emergency situations in period 15.05.-24.05.2014., capacity of HU were : 9 helicopters 12 pilots 28 mehanics

Request area for helicopter support was Lazarevac,Lajkovac and Ub; At first moment two AB-212 and Gazelle took part at rescue missions; During that day Obrenovac became the prior rescue task;

Weather conditions were complex with low visibility , heavy rain and cloud ceiling.

17.05.- was the most demanding day for Helicopter unit; It was the first day when evacuation of threatened people started; On that day during 28.40 flight hours, two AB-212 evacuated more than 2000 people (including 184 patients)

During floods Helicopter unit were flying more than 100 hours , transporting more than 2500 people and over 50 t of load.
