FOX HILL FILINGS II AND III BOARD MEETING Tuesday, August 25, 2009

7:05 P.M. Marvin Ratzlaff, President called the meeting to order. The following Board Members were present: Marsha Pritchard, Paul Kucera, and Roz Miller. Minutes from the May 26, 2009 meeting were discussed. No minutes were prepared. Reports: Vice President and NGLA Representative, Paul Kucera reported. There were no meetings for the summer months Grants were limited due to the lack of General Funds from the City. Treasurer. Joe Howard has officially resigned as Board Member and Treasurer. Marsha Pritchard has agreed to accept the position. She will sign on the bank account, have a key to the post office box, and keep the records for the balance of this year. All records have been delivered to her. Wecome. Marsha Pritchard has met Tim and Jennifer Kearns, new neighbors at 1127 Merriman Place. Information was delivered t them. Beautification. Roz Miller noted that all corners are looking Good. Renee Oxley has done a fine job this summer. The Board has requested that Renee prepare a plan for the circle at Merriman Place. We want to review a plan by the next Boad Meeting. The hope is to redo the Circle and enhance its use and appearance. We hope to use this as the basis for a 2010 grant from the City through NGLA. Roz will contact Renee and discuss this plan. Old Business: Marvin has added the 2009 list of volunteers to those who are willing to assist with the year’s block party. Party supplies for Fancy Fox and Block Parties have been purchased by Marvin and Linda. Linda has created canvas sign covers for the existing garage sale signs so they can be used for a variety of purposes. They are two-sided with clear plastic windows for inserts and give flexibility when needed. The Directory has been prepared by Jeff Brown. The City cannot print in color and has limits on copies and costs, so they cannot print it. Other sources considered were Kinkos and Career Development Center. Based on costs and printing abilities, Career Development Center was selected. We will increase the number of copies for future needs. Marvin is handling the printing. When copies of the Fox Hill Covenants are requested, encourage people to go to our web site at longmontfoxhill.com. They are available there. If members have problems with neighbors regarding illegally parked cars or cleanup needs, remind people to call the numbers listed for the City for assistance. These are printed in each newsletter. New Business: Block Party. Entertainment will be Bruce Delaplain plus his drummer. Food will be delivered by Rib House and set up by 2:30 on Saturday, September 12. Drinks will be purchased by Linda Ratzlaff. Beer will be purchased by Nick Schubert. Marvin will ask the Johnsons to organize

kids’ activities. Paul Kucera will borrow Tents and canopies from the City if available. Board Members should ask any local businesses or restaurants for coupons, credits, or giveaways to be used as door prizes. Roz will check Incredible Edibles for possible fruit tray for the party. Special invitees will be Jon Clarke, our beat officer, the fire department, and our Ward representative on City Council. 2010 HOA Project. See discussion for Merriman Circle Improvement Project.
