“Blended Learning” is a term that describes a 21st Century Classroom where students and teachers have access to the Internet through devices, whether they be Chromebooks, iPads, laptops or cell phones. In the Blended Classroom, teachers and students use the tool that is best for the students’ learning whether the right tool is technology centered or paper based.
Blended Learning Strategy 1 DON’T STEAL THE LEARNING
When you are planning, ask yourself, “What will my STUDENTS be doing?” Maximize the work of the students and minimize your work. Creating opportunities for student choice will increase motivation and allow you to focus your work on areas that help students learn most.
Blended Learning Strategy 2 ESCAPE THE GROUP WORK TRAP
Blended Learning Strategy 3 BE PAPERLESS
All great teachers know that classroom procedures are essential for effective management. Learn how to create processes for a digital environment that will also allow your classroom to become paperless or nearly so.

Make sure EVERY assignment holds each individual student personally accountable. Collaboration is key, but “group work” is de-motivating for students and will derail your implementation.
