It will be beneficial to everyone because we sincerely wish that everyone becomes a teacher (even if by rotation, among the members in the same class). The Prophet ﷺsaid: the best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it. It will give our teachers tips and updates of how others are doing it. More importantly, it be interesting for parents because we have included there some interesting questions from children and suggested answers. 2. UQA syllabus in 7 Madaaris:
Five Madaris have already adopted UQA Course before and this month. Two madaris in Adilabad are added to the count.. Some new madaris have been contacted and made further follow up with the previous ones.
We request you to introduce our course in Madaaris that you are familiar with. It will in sha Allah make their start of Arabic learning very easy, smooth, and interesting.
3. UQA syllabus in 59 Study Circles: Qur’an Study Circles are informal small groups. Most of these are sisters gathering together on weekly basis to study UQA Courses. By this program, UQA has been able to reach out to 100’s of Muslim homes with the message of Holy Qur’an in past few years. Alhamdulillah, the participants are excited to learn Arabic with this new style. In April, we conducted two TTC Programs (Batch No. 29 and 30), one at Guntur and the other at UQA Head Office. Alhamdulillah 25 Teachers were trained in April. The demand for TTC is so huge that the Year-2015 is almost booked. Page 2

7. Update on Qur’an Campus and Dream-39 Project: The work on Qur’an Campus is progressing Alhamdulillah. For the teachers training center (that can house 60 people) and the mosque, brick work is 90% completed, Plastering and Electrical works will begin in the coming 3 days. Further progress will follow. Almost 25 laborers are working daily on the construction work with Br Ahsan supervising them in person. May Allah help us to complete that as soon as possible, by Ramadan. The UQA team has decided to start with the following courses as soon as the building is ready: 1. Teachers’ Training Course 10-days course 2. Understand Qur’an & Salah – Course 1 (50% of the words of the Qur’an) – 3 days course 3. Understand Qur’an & Du’aas – Course 2 (70% of the words of the Qur’an)– 3 days course 4. Read Al-Qur’an – 5 days course 5. Learn Tajweed – the Easy Way – 3 days course For Dream-39 course, we pray to Allah to bless us with the resources so that we can construct the following: An auditorium that can accommodate 300 to 400 people (50% gentlemen and 50% ladies) A hostel for men A hostel for women A kitchen and dining facility with separate dining halls for men and women May Allah bless those brothers who have especially dedicated their time, resources, and efforts to help us complete this facility.

8. Teachers Section:
Teaching Tips & Tricks Classroom Rules One of the most challenging tasks of a teacher is Classroom Control. UQA uses the following classroom rules for the students (as adopted from Whole-Brain Teaching System): 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
Follow the directions quickly Raise your hand for the permission to speak Raise your hand for the permission to leave your seat Always make smart choices in life Make your dear teacher happy.
These five classroom rules should be posted in classroom. It will take about 3 months to get trained on these rules. The benefit will be more discipline in classroom, thereby giving more time and peace to teachers, to focus on teaching topics. This is a successfully implemented technique by many teachers within India and abroad.
Sharing student’s Questions and Comments
A 7 year old boy asked me a question “When did Arabic started as a language?” This was a question which intrigued lot of people. Googling also didn’t help, so I asked Dr Abdulazeez, Director UQA. He quoted Dr Sameer, the head of Arabic in KAAU, “Arabic is the only language in the world, that began as a complete language, i.e., with complete grammar, vocabulary, & all other rules. All other languages developed over a period of time.” This statement is from the Western researchers and not a self-proclamation by Arabs. Another 8 year old girl of grade 4 was taught the meanings of Surah Ikhlas. After the class, she asked, “If Allah (SWT) doesn’t have any relative, He must be feeling very lonely and boring up there!” It is so amazing how children think and get to the conclusion. A response to this question can be: Allah is Samad; Every creature in the universe is seeking His help. He created everything, and everything is dependent on Him for survival. He does not need anyone’s help. Allah (SWT) doesn’t feel bored at all. He is not weak. He doesn’t feel sleepy or tired.
