The​ ​Boys​ ​Varsity​ ​Tennis​ ​Team​ ​completed​ ​the​ ​first​ ​part​ ​of​ ​the​ ​season​ ​yesterday​ ​with​ ​an outstanding​ ​performance​ ​at​ ​the​ ​Conference​ ​Championships.​ ​Although​ ​the​ ​team​ ​fell​ ​just short​ ​of​ ​their​ ​goal​ ​of​ ​hoisting​ ​another​ ​OK​ ​Red​ ​Championship​ ​Trophy​ ​this​ ​awesome group​ ​of​ ​athletes​ ​finished​ ​with​ ​a​ ​second​ ​place​ ​finish​ ​just​ ​3​ ​points​ ​behind​ ​Hudsonville. Five​ ​out​ ​of​ ​the​ ​eight​ ​flights​ ​were​ ​in​ ​the​ ​championship​ ​round​ ​with​ ​three​ ​of​ ​those​ ​flights winning​ ​it​ ​all.​ ​At​ ​4​ ​doubles,​ ​the​ ​Towers,​ ​Brad​ ​Sanders​ ​and​ ​Patrick​ ​Clark,​ ​blasted​ ​their way​ ​through​ ​the​ ​finals​ ​with​ ​a​ ​6-0​ ​6-0​ ​pounding​ ​over​ ​the​ ​Rockford​ ​team.​ ​At​ ​#4​ ​Singles,

Ethan​ ​Rycenga,​ ​The​ ​Rock,​ ​prevailed​ ​again​ ​for​ ​his​ ​championship​ ​with​ ​a​ ​three​ ​set​ ​win over​ ​Rockford​ ​maintaining​ ​his​ ​perfect​ ​no​ ​loss​ ​season.​ ​Finally​ ​at​ ​#2​ ​singles,​ ​Trevor Gelfius,​ ​The​ ​Surgeon,​ ​finished​ ​his​ ​conference​ ​season​ ​with​ ​a​ ​redemption​ ​win​ ​over Hudsonville​ ​winning​ ​his​ ​third​ ​conference​ ​title​ ​in​ ​four​ ​years.​ ​A​ ​big​ ​shout​ ​out​ ​to​ ​all​ ​those students​ ​who​ ​came​ ​out​ ​and​ ​supported​ ​the​ ​Bulldogs.​ ​Wish​ ​them​ ​well​ ​as​ ​they​ ​head​ ​to Regionals​ ​on​ ​Thursday.
