GHS met Livingston at their home field this weekend, final score 110-0 DAWGS! Amazing game Ruggers! From trys to conversions, assists and tackles our players dominated the field and played with intensity. Special congrats to our players that scored their first trys of the season Jasmine Quinones, Ridhika Patel, and Autumn Duneavan. We are extremely proud your sportsmanship and how you represented Grandville High School. The Boys Varsity Tennis Team completed the first part of the season yesterday with an outstanding performance at the Conference Championships. Although the team fell just short of their goal of hoisting another OK Red Championship Trophy this awesome group of athletes finished with a second place finish just 3 points behind Hudsonville. Five out of the eight flights were in the championship round with three of those flights winning it all. At 4 doubles, the Towers, Brad Sanders and Patrick Clark, blasted their way through the finals with a 6-0 6-0 pounding over the Rockford team. At #4 Singles,
Ethan Rycenga, The Rock, prevailed again for his championship with a three set win over Rockford maintaining his perfect no loss season. Finally at #2 singles, Trevor Gelfius, The Surgeon, finished his conference season with a redemption win over Hudsonville winning his third conference title in four years. A big shout out to all those students who came out and supported the Bulldogs. Wish them well as they head to Regionals on Thursday.
