IEEE GIKI Student Branch IEEE GIKI Student Branch is a recognized student branch of Region 10, Islamabad Section; supervised by the excellent and outstanding students of GIK Institute Topi, Pakistan.

IEEE GIKI is a non-profit organization that works to ensure innovation, technology advancement and carries out further research in the field of Robotics. Being one of the biggest technical societies in a leading engineering institute in Pakistan, IEEE GIKI has never failed to entertain the students, helping them out technically and academically. IEEE GIKI holds many events for the promotion of robotics which includes Robot making workshops, Seminars conducted by leading figures in the said field, Web-designing workshops, Inter-university robotics competitions, and an All-Pakistan National Electronics Olympiad (NEO).

NEO National Electronics Olympiad (NEO) is a mega event organized by IEEE GIKI & WIE GIKI Student Branch for students from different institutes across the country, where they can compete and boast of their skills in the field of Electronics and Robotics. The institute to bag the most wins in the event’s modules is awarded the NEO Trophy, a possession of Champions. The basic purpose of the event is in accordance with the Mission Statement of the Student Branch that is to provide the talented students a platform where they may learn more and practice their most extraordinary skills in the respective fields. There are many technical and non-technical modules for students to participate in; each with its own set of challenges. Each year, changes are made to the modules as per critique of the participants and according to the Student Branch policies, only to bring about the best in favor of the competitors. From year 2015, the Olympiad is also open to international participants so it is renamed as International ElectroniX Olympiad (iNEO).
