Forecast Summery Light rainfall may be expected from 15-06-2016 to 17-06-2016 in Mandya district. The day temperature is expected to 30-31°C & night temperature is expected to be 21-22°C. The relative humidity in the morning hours is expected to be in the range of 80-81 % & afternoon relative humidity 62-64 %. Wind speed expected to be in the range of 4-7 km/ hr.

Agro advisories

 As per forecast, Light amount of rainfall is expected at many places during the coming three days.  If sufficient rains received dry land farmers may take up land preparation across the land slope and keep ready the land for monsoon crop sowing.  Farmers are advised to apply recommended dose of fertilizer based on soil test results.  Sowing of following crops under rainfed situation is advocated Jower-CHS-5, Jower+Redgram(2:1), Groundnut+Red gram(4:1 or 8:2) by using seed drill.  Farmers are advised for silkworm and poultry rearing houses to maintain optimum room temperature. Care should be taken against the rapid decrease in air temperature and increase in relative humidity. In this Research Station, Good quality Large white Yorkshire and Durac breed piglets are available for sale.
