Federation invites kind attention of the Railway Board to its letter dated 10/0412017whercin Board was requested to take up this genuine issue at the level of DoP&T to consider granting relaxation of the condition for grant of Children Education Allowance in those cases of employees who have unfortunately been blessed with one child out of three living children as mentally disabled/retarded, thus unable to receive education even at school level due to mental disability/infirmity. While enclosing copy of Federation's letter dated td,l04l20l7, NFIR once again urges upon the Railway Board to approach DoP&T for relaxation of the condition so that payment of Children Education Allowance/Hostel subsidy is ensured to two schooVcollegegoing children out of three in the above situations.
