Our mission is to increase student interest and achievement in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) by providing high-quality teacher professional learning, engaging student programming, and organizing academic competitions. Oconee River GYSTC Saturday Science Program  Up to 50 students in grades 3-5 participate in engaging, hands-on STEM related challenges  Selected Saturdays during Fall and Spring at locations throughout the GYSTC service district Northeast Georgia Regional Science and Engineering Fair  150 middle and high school students representing multiple schools/systems in Northeast Georgia  Top projects advance to the Georgia Science and Engineering Fair  January 27, 2017 at Athens Technical College Oconee River Middle School Science Olympiad Competition  15 teams (nearly 200 students) from around the state will compete in 23 events  Top teams will advance to the State Science Olympiad Competition  February 25, 2017 at TBD Northeast Georgia Elementary Science Olympiad Invitational  20 teams (nearly 400 students) representing multiple schools/systems in Northeast Georgia  Top team will advance to the State Science Olympiad Competition  March 25, 2017 at TBD Oconee River GYSTC Summer Camp  Up to 30 students representing multiple schools/systems in Northeast Georgia  Engaging hands-on summer camp exploring STEM fields and careers  June 2017 at Northeast Georgia RESA Please review the sponsorship opportunities for these events, and do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have.
