Attendance

Medical Information

If your child will not be at school for the day (ex. Sick, out of town, doctor’s apt, etc.) we ask that you notify the school before 9:00 am. If we are not notified, you will receive an automated phone call from the school. Please call the school back after getting this call to let us know where your student is.

Due to recent changes in the school’s policy we can no longer give out any kind of medication. Unless your student is on a 504 plan, there are no exceptions.

Withdrawal Policy If you are planning on enrolling in another school district or are planning on homeschooling your child, you must come to the office to fill out a withdrawal form. This will ensure that everything is taken care of before your child leaves for their new school.

Contact Information

Lunch Info

Please be sure to contact the office with any phone number changes. We need to make sure our records are up to date in case of and emergency. We also need an emergency contact (other than a parent) to contact in case of an emergency.

If visitors will be joining students for lunch, please be sure to let the office know by 9:00am the day that you plan on eating. This ensures that we have enough food planned for the day. When bringing lunch for your students in the lunchroom, we ask that you only bring lunch for your student(s). Please do not bring lunch for other students.

Front Door Access The only access for visitors to Hagan will be door 5. All other exterior doors will be locked during school hours. To gain access to the school, you must use the buzzer located at Door 5. Office staff will then open the door for visitors. ALL visitors MUST come to the office and have an orange name badge on before walking any student down the hall.

Student Messages

Cold Weather is here!!! Please be sure that your student is dressed appropriately for the weather. The snow has started falling, and students will need warm clothes (snow pants, snow boots, gloves, hats, jackets, etc.) to be able to play in the snow. The children will go out until it is -10 with the wind chill. Please make sure all of your child’s belongings are labeled, as well. It will help reduce the number of items in the lost and found. *Please make sure your child(ren) bring a pair of inside shoes to change into once they get into the school.

Please when calling in messages for your student, make sure to call the school office by 2:50. Calls after this time are not guaranteed to get to the student.

Staying Indoors If you want your child to stay inside there must be a note from a parent. We will only allow a student to stay inside 1 day with a note from a parent. If your student needs to stay inside for 2 or more days, then a doctor’s note is required.

Drop off times

After School Pickup

Please make sure to have your student dropped off at the appropriate time. Students eating breakfast are asked to come no earlier the 8:00am. Students who arrive before 8:00am must go to the gym and wait with their classmates. The bell rings at 8:15am. For the students to enter the building from the playground. The tardy bell rings at 8:20am. Any student entering the classroom after the tardy bell are considered tardy. Tardy students must check in with the office.

There will now be crossing guards. Please pull to the side of the road to pick up your student. NO student will be allowed to enter a vehicle that is not parked along the curb. PLEASE watch for stop/slow signs. Our staff are out there for the safety of our students. Please follow these rules to make pick-up safer and more efficient for all.

POPCORN SALES

LOST AND FOUND

Popcorn is now being sold on Fridays for .50!!

Lost and Found items ae located on a square table next to the pop machines. Lost glasses are kept in the office. Lost and found will be thrown away or donated after 30 days.

Please Parents: When picking up students at the end of the day, please be sure you are not blocking the entrance to the North parking lot. This makes it difficult for the buses to park and pick students up. Also please be sure not to double park, block the handicap zone, or block other vehicles in. There is absolutely NO parking in front of the drop arm!! Also you must have a handicap permit to park in the handicap zone in front of Door 5.
