HOMEOSTASIS ? Yunani : homeo (sama) stasis (mempertahankan keadaan) Usaha tubuh untuk mempertahankan keadaan lingkungan didalam tubuh terhadap perubahan lingkungan dalam dan luar tubuh. Claude Bernard : Dengan mempertahankan lingkungan dalam yang relatif stabil, organisme multisel yang kompleks dapat hidup bebas di lingkungn luar yang sangat bervariasi.
Keadaan apa yang harus dipertahankan ? • Suhu tubuh
• Tekanan darah • PH darah • Konsentrasi O2 dan CO2
• Osmoregulation-keseimbangan cairan tubuh • Gula darah
Bagaimana kerja homeostasis ? 4 Postulat yang mendasari homeostasis : 1. Peran sistem syaraf dalam mempertahankan kesesuaian lingkungan dalam kehidupan 2. Kegiatan pengendalian yang bersifat tonik 3. Kegiatan pengendalian yang bersifat antagonis 4. Sinyal kimia dapat mempunyai pengaruh berbeda di jaringan yang berbeda
