Honors English 10 Book Club Project 100 points Name(s): __________________________________________________________________ Book/Author: ______________________________________________________________ Scenario: You are in charge of publicity for this book and if you don’t make the best-sellers list, you will be fired! You have created some buzz with the media that some big director is “thinking” about creating a movie on your book. Now you need to either create a sensational slideshow with narration, or create a trailer for this book! Use elements of movie trailers such as: Ask a question, Voice inflection, Dramatic music, and Special effects. Content (50 points possible): ✓ Title (5 points) ✓ Introduction to scene - what has happened thus far in book? (5 points) ✓ Chapter or event that you choose to create your film on must have a beginning, middle, and end (15 points) ✓ Credits: Your names, citation for book, music, and any other materials you use (15 points) ✓ Music in introduction and credits (5 points) ✓ 5-10 minutes in length (5 points) Student responsibility (30 points possible): ✓ Present film to the class (5 points) ✓ Turn in your script (20 points) ✓ Everyone in your group must be present in the film (even a cameo). You may have extras as needed (5 points) Quality (15 points possible): ✓ This is a creative project that is in lieu of a book report. Your slideshow/ film must have a seamless flow with music and editing that enhances the film feel. Your project will be organized, well developed, include transitions, and be free of errors (words and writing). Disclaimer: Remember, this is a project for school; your project must be school appropriate. Your project must portray the characters and events in the book accurately. Please do not give away the ending. The point of this project is to expose others to different pieces of literature. If someone likes your presentations, he/she may want to read the book!
