Southern District 4-H Horse Camp 2017 Sponsorship Form — teaching tomorrow’s equestrians today — The 4-H club program in West Virginia is a non-profit organization affiliated with West Virginia University’s Cooperative Extension Service. All West Virginia youth are eligible to participate in 4-H activities, which focus on education and personal development in fun, nontraditional environments. In keeping with an original purpose of 4-H to develop agricultural skills in youth, the Southern District 4-H Horse Camp was designed to teach 4-Hers about horse care and to provide them with an opportunity to learn and practice their riding skills. At 4-H Horse Camp, particular emphasis is placed on educating participants in horsemanship, equitation, and showmanship techniques in a wide variety of disciplines. For over 45 years, Southern District 4-H Horse Camp has prided itself on providing a weeklong residential camping experience for its youth and horse participants at a reasonable cost. We desperately need sponsors to provide full or partial scholarships for campers and to supply ribbons and trophies for our end of camp horse show. Your tax-deductible donation, in whatever amount, is most gratefully appreciated. In recognition of your contribution, you will be listed on the printed show bill and acknowledged during our camp horse show. Your contribution in support of 4-H Horse Camp will not only make it possible for our 4-H youth to improve and demonstrate their riding skills, but your donation will also provide excellent positive advertising to demonstrate your commitment to community service and our state’s youth. Southern District 4-H Horse Camp will be held at Camp Virgil Tate near Cross Lanes, West Virginia.
