How to get a video on YouTube An app called “Capture” sends videos to YouTube better than iMovie. Here is how to go from iMovie to Capture to YouTube.

Step 1: Set up

Download the Capture app.

Step 2: Put iMovie into Photo Library From iMovie, bottom center of screen, tap box with “up” arrow

Tap “Save Video” Choose an export size, “Medium” is fair quality and takes less time and storage (HD is high definition) You will see a status bar saying “exporting movie.” Then a message “The movie was exported to your Photo Library.” Tap OK

Step 3: Put Movie into Capture

Open the Capture app. On the bottom left, tap the file play box.

On the left, find the movie clip you need. Tap it. If you edited it in iMovie and are ready to upload, tap the white arrow on the top right of the screen.

Choose the privacy setting to be UNLISTED. On the top right, tap UPLOAD. It will say “Upload in progress.”

Step 4: Share

There will be a Share Arrow (an arrow pointing to the right, on a rectangle) with a YouTube address. Clicking it will offer you the chance to email the link to others. Email it to yourself and you can forward it to others. A link may also be sent to your email, with an option to share your video.
