School wide Announcements Ninth graders will need to turn in their Chromebook and chargers for the summer on May 23rd. Last day for Power Hour is May 11. After that we will run Tuesday/ Thursday schedule. Students who do not have a power hour are expected to make arrangements to stay until 2:58 bell.
Philadelphia Academy 2018-2020 School Board Results As advertised on our website, it’s election time again. It is with great excitement I announce Philadelphia Academy’s newest School Board members. Mr. Michael Trask graciously accepted the nomination of Special Education Board member and Mrs. Kim Burns accepted the High School Board nomination. Mrs. Burns held the position as High School Rep for the last two years. An election will not be held this year as both candidates ran unopposed. Mr. Michael Trask has formally accepted the position as Special
Education Board member and Mrs. Kim Burns will continue in her position as High School Board Representative for the 2018-2020 term. Our new Board members will be sworn in on June 21st at our monthly PACS Board meeting.
IMPORTANT HEALTH NOTIFICATIONS ALL current junior students: *PA Department of Health mandates that EVERY SENIOR MUST have the second meningococcal vaccine (MCV) after 16 years of age. This must be completed by the fifth day of senior year (September 5, 2018) oryou may risk exclusion. PLEASE try to get this completed ASAP and send in verification to the school nurse. ALL current sophomore students: All students entering their Junior year MUST have a completed physical. The physical form is found on our website. You may get this completed ASAP and return form to the school nurse.

PACS Alumni Sports Day Celebration Friday June 1st Welcome back Alumni! On Friday June 1st, PACS Grade School would like to invite any former PACS GS students back to participate in an ALUMNI sports day. We will begin our events at 3:30 with a fun game of Capture The Flag in the front field. Then, proceed into the gymnasium where we will play basketball. All events should be finished by 6:00 PM. Freshman Class Trip to Trenton Thunder Baseball
On Wednesday, May 9, 2018, the 9 grade students at Philadelphia Academy Charter High School will be taking a trip to Trenton Thunder Baseball,1 Thunder Rd,Trenton NJ, 08611. The cost of this trip is $15.00. This will include the Admission and lunch voucher as well as transportation costs. Due to the limited availability of buses at this time of year, I was able to procure two 2 buses; therefore, the trip will be limited to 80 students, as we must reserve room on the buses for our teacher chaperones. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis, so please do not delay in returning the permission slip below along with your payment of $15.00.
