Suggestions in respect of proposed new ICT Policy On behalf of all the Branches
of All India Central Excise Inspectors’
Association across Tamilnadu falling under the jurisdiction of Chennai Zone (except Salem branch, as Salem branch has submitted their views separately), we would like to suggest the following few points with regard to proposal for new ICT policy: Point No.1: Inter Commissionerate Transfer should be open to all, only on seniority basis i.e., there should not be any condition except for the ex-service man. Point No.2: Applications should be forwarded to the respective Zones as and when the application is received in the Cadre Controlling Office, if it is not being done due to any administrative exigencies, the applications may be forwarded on quarterly basis. Point No.3: Officers should be eligible to apply for Inter Commissionerate Transfer once they complete their probation period which is normally two years. This practice is already being followed in many zones and it should be uniform across India. Accordingly, a clear cut instructions may be incorporated for the
