The Association was established on July 15, 2009 •

The International Investors Association is a non-profitable legal entity.

The Association is one of the largest investors’ organizations in Georgia.

IIA members represent large companies from different sectors of businesses, such as: textile industry, food production, construction and construction materials, banking and finance, insurance, hotels and other.

The total amount of association member companies’ investments till today reaches approximately 855 million USD.

•

The total amount of association member companies’ future investment projects reaches approximately 600 million USD.

•

The total number of association member companies’ employment till today reaches about 18 600 employees.

MISSION •

Promotion of business environment of Georgia.

Showing Georgia to the best advantage in international scene, as a country having attractive investment environment.

Lobbying of the Association member companies in the local and central governments.

Research and analysis of the Association member companies’ problems and their presentation in the appropriate public authorities.

On October 24, 2011 International Investors Association became a member of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). IIA also became ICC Georgia’s Ex Officio Board Member. Member

a result of membership: 1. IIA will network and build business relations with more than hundred other influential member companies of ICC Georgia. 2. IIA will network relations with thousands of member companies and associations in around 120 countries via online. 3. IIA will establish relations with key policy makers and appropriate governmental bodies. 4. IIA will daily access to all draft laws being discussed in Parliament and monitor their impact on business and take necessary action so that interests are preserved. 5. IIA will hold valuable seminars and workshops. 6. IIA will place Member Company's advertisements and articles in ICC's quarterly newsletter. 7. IIA will become part of a very powerful business organization and therefore will be better protected.

ICC Georgia to open his office in Batumi

The opening ceremony occurred on 28 February 2014, where a presentation was given by the Chairman of ICC Georgia Mr. Fady Asly and followed by a social event. the new office is collocated with the office of the International Investors Association. Osman Chalishkhan - Mjavanadze, who is one of the members of the Board of Directors of ICC Georgia, will be the senior representative at the new location.

International Investor Association of Georgia was visited by the President of The American Chamber of Commerce of Georgia

On 18th of September, 2014 the International Investors Association of Georgia was visited by the President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Georgia Sarah Williamson, the goal of the visit was focused on the region's economic and investment environment. Particularly textile industry of the region, the Chairman of IIA provided all the information about investment environment in the region.

Turkish businessmen were getting acquainted with investment potential of Georgia The Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Georgia visited International Investors Association

On 31st of October, 2014, At the office of International Investors Association of Georgia was held the meeting, the main topics of this meeting was the construction of Hydro power plants, construction and the development of tourism business in Georgia - members of Businessmen Association of Turkey city Gaziantep were getting acquainted with investment potential of Georgia.

On 30 April, 2014 the IIA was visited by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Georgia and Armenia Mr. Hans Horbach, the Secretary General of the Association Mr. Osman Chalishkan hosted the guest. The goal of the visit was information exchange and the sides discussed issues of cooperation between the two countries.

Georgian Business ombudsman met with Turkish businessmen

Georgian business ombudsman Giorgi Gvakharia met with Turkish businessmen who work in the region of Ajara. The meeting was attended the chairman of the International Investors Association Mr. Jemal Bilgingulluoglu and the Secretary General of the Association Mr. Osman Chalishkan and the representatives of the member companies of IIA. The Meeting also attended the representative Tax ombudsman in Ajara Mr. Otar Riqadze

The New Consulate General of Turkish Republic in Batumi visited International Investors Association

On 18 September, 2014 the International Investors Association of Georgia was visited by the New Consulate General of Turkish Republic in Batumi Mr. Yasin Temizkan. Mr. Yasin Temizkan held Introductory meeting with the chairman of the association Mr. Jemal Bilgingulluoglu and the Secretary General Mr. Osman Chalishkan, The meeting was also attended the representatives of the member companies of IIA

The representatives of Bauer Georgia visited at IIA office

On 2 April 2014 International Investors Association was visited by the chairman managing directors Peter Teschemacher from the head office of German, and the representatives of Bauer Georgia Wolfram Groh and Tarkan Keloglu. Bauer Georgia is the member company of IIA. Distinguished guests were welcomed by the Secretary General Mr. Osman Chalishkan.

Turkey`s new ambassador to Georgia visited International Investors Association of Georgia

On 18 April, 2014 the International Investors Association of Georgia was visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Georgia Zeki Levent Gumrukcu. The introductory meeting was held at the office of IIA. The chairman of the association Mr. Jemal Bilgingulluoglu and the Secretary General Mr. Osman Chalishkan hosted the guests. The goal of the visit was information exchange and business cooperation between two countries.

Ajara Hosted first International Investment Forum” Invest in Batumi

Batumi hosted first international investment forum. The event was held in the Sheraton hotel. Participants of the “Invest in Batumi-2014” are the government of Ajara, Georgian National investment Agency, foreign investors, foreign and local companies operating in Georgia, commerce and industry chambers, business associations media and others. The International Investors Association of Georgia presented the activity of IIA and its member companies. The meeting was attended the chairman of the association Mr. Jemal Bilgingulluoglu and the Secretary General Mr. Osman Chalishkan and the representatives of the member companies of IIA.

CHARITY EVENTS

Charity Events of International Investors Association of Georgia On January 13, 2014 was held one more charity event by International Investors Association. Secretary General of the Association initiated to help the Surmanidzes’ family living Kobuleti, being beyond socially vulnerable.

On October 28, 2014 was held one more Charity action in Kvirike village. International Investors Association of Georgia has transferred food to 10 member family. Health Care Ministry has selected the socially unprotected families.

Charitable dinner in support of children who suffer from leukemia

On 4th of August, 2014 held charitable dinner in support of children who suffer from leukemia, the sum from the evening transferred to Dito Tsintsadze’s charity foundation. Famous Turkish actor Murat Yildirim was among the guests. The charity dinner were also attended by the representatives of the member companies of International Investors Association who made contribution for children who suffer from leukemia.
