Candidates who desire to contest the elections to the Zonal Councils or State Chapters of the Institute in terms of the provisions of article 52(2)(xvii) of the Articles of Association of the Institute, shall send in their duly filled in nominations in the prescribed manner by post/ courier to the Election Officer by name as indicated below, so as to reach his office on or before the aforesaid stipulated date and time at the address given in the nomination form. It may be noted that only those members who are in good standing as on 3rd February 2014 shall be eligible for contesting the Election to the Zonal Councils or to the State Chapters, and/or eligible to propose or second a candidate and/or cast their vote. Provided further that any contestant or voter who has not paid the annual membership fee up to the cut off date of 3rd February, 2014, shall neither be eligible to contest nor cast his vote in the above mentioned elections. It is further clarified that only those members, as indicated above , whose annual subscription for the year 2013-2014 has been received at the Institutes office at Hyderabad by close of business hours on 3rd February 2014 shall only be eligible to contest, propose or second a candidate contesting for election and also vote. It is also clarified that, in addition to the members, as indicated above those members who have been newly admitted to the Institute up to 3rd February 2014 will also be eligible to contest, propose or second any candidate contesting for election and also vote. INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING NOMINATION FORM BY CANDIDATE SEEKING ELECTION TO THE STATE CHAPTER While filing the nomination form for election to the state chapter, the following points/aspects shall be kept in view:1.

The nomination should be strictly in the format as prescribed.

The nomination form shall be sent by post/courier to the election officer only at the address mentioned above in a sealed envelope super scribing “IIISLA CHAPTER NOMINATION” so as to reach at the above mentioned address on or before 10.02.2014.

3.

The name and professional address of the candidate, the proposer and the seconder Must be given in full, as they appear in the register of members maintained by the IIISLA.

4.

The correct name of the State Chapter should be mentioned as is mentioned in the Notification of Election to the state Chapters and Zonal Councils dated 31.01.2014.

5.

The nomination shall be filled in by hand only and any over writing or correction shall be duly initialled by the candidate.

Provided further that any contestant or voter who has paid all subscription dues/arrears/renewal charges upto date as of February 3,2014 shall be eligible to contest, propose or second a candidate contesting the election and also vote. A member who may not have paid the annual membership fee or such other charges as may be payable for

renewal of the subscription by close of business on February 3, 2014 shall neither be eligible to contest, propose, or second any candidate contesting the election or vote in the said elections. Note: The decision of the Election Officer shall be final.
