INTERNATIONAL YOUTH EXCHANGE “ONE SPIRIT, ONE TEAM, ONE WIN!” 20.08-29.08.2016 PORONIN, POLAND INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS YOUTH EXCHANGE: Description: The main topic of our activities is sport and its role in daily life. During the exchange we will focus on youth awareness of how important sport should be in everyday life and an active lifestyle - even with many activities and obligations. During our activities we will use elements of informal education, in order to avoid a theoretical approach and show the use of sports and games in practice. In our work we will enable young people with fewer opportunities, i.e. that which economic or geographical barriers restrict or prevent participation in similar projects. We would like for it to show that everyone has an equal chance of achieving their life goals. By organizing national evenings, during which the participants will present their culture, dances, songs and customs, participants will have the opportunity to get to know other cultures, customs and traditions. This will help in shaping the attitude of tolerance and respect for what others, and through presentations about their own homeland will make young people learn about it something new. It also will affect in a positive way to a sense of national belonging and personal development. At the international level, organized exchanges will result in eliminating wrong stereotypes about other cultures. By using during our activities peer education project participants, by exchanging experiences, acquire diverse knowledge about the sport, learn the good practices for the implementation of activities for young people, which they can use in the future. As the result of our project we will also create and strengthen networking between partner organizations and establish cooperation in future activities both international as well as local.

TIME: Arrival:20th August 2016 Departure: 29th August 2016 THE VENUE: Ośrodek Gastronomiczno-Wypoczynkowy BACA Poronin, Poland Website: http://www.baca.poronin.pl/ You will be accommodated in a hotel, sharing a 2, 3 or 4 bed . The canteen and working rooms are within 50m. There is WiFi (usually  ), hot water and everything you might need this week! Please, bring your own towels! TRANSPORT TO CRACOW: Poronin is a village just next to Zakopane, polish winter capitol. If you are coming by plane the nearest airport is in Kraków, Balice. Later you take the bus to Zakopane/Poronin, it costs about 15/30 zł (4/8 EU) If you want to contact me in Poland please call +48 886 579 596, I can help you with the details, including talking to the bus drivers  ! Pease notify us about arrival/departure times to arrange meals and accommodation. If possible please come before 8 pm, later we might provide you only cold snacks as the restaurant might be closed!

WEATHER: In August in Polish mountains we can expect temperature from 10°C up to +30°C, also it may rain. Therefore, please take into consideration rainy/sunny weather and bring appropriate cloth. It’s best if you check right before the project what the weather is going to be like. We’ll be also trekking in the mountains so please take sturdy shoes appropriate for mountain trips. PREPARATION: During the course we will organise Intercultural Evenings, therefore please be ready to present your country and bring some materials, drinks, and snacks. Just bring a few.
