Based in Sydney Action Centre. The role will involve occasional interstate travel.

Hours:

75 hours per fortnight. The position requires intermittent work outside normal business hours.

Job Overview:

The Information Systems Manager is responsible for ensuring that our information technology systems, data management and associated services help drive our Vision. They will lead a highly engaged and focused team in helping deliver key projects and initiatives in line with organisational objectives. The role will develop and drive longer term strategy to ensure we have the right infrastructure and processes to meet our current and future needs. This includes ensuring the strategic use of technology, data and related systems in our priority areas of work. This exciting role supports our movement of over 300,000 supporters, hundreds of office volunteers and 90 staff across 7 different office locations. This includes regular work from home and other non-office environments.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate, manage and develop 9 direct reports plus volunteers and fixed term contract roles. Drive a highly engaged and service oriented culture. • Ensure delivery of technology services to a diverse user base in order to enable and empower all levels of our organisation in achieving our 2020 Vision. Develop longer term strategy and plans for the Information Systems area, and set and manage annual plan and budget. • Protect our Information Systems by taking a proactive stance on security and compliance to – including making sure our human rights research and work is conducted in a secure environment. • Manage the organisation’s data and data services, including ongoing analysis to drive improved outcomes and maintenance of data hygiene. • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans as well as relevant IT policy and procedures. • Support the Supporter Relationship Management project, including providing expert advice and ensuring team engagement and alignment to proposed solution. • Secure and manage external service providers, including negotiating contracts

and agreements. • Performing role to a high standard within agreed timelines, and in line with AIA’s vision and values. • Other tasks within your skills and competence as required.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring in building a high performing team that is focused on achieving organisational goals • Tertiary or Post-Graduate qualifications in Information Technology, Network Engineering or a similar discipline • Previous demonstrated experience in a management position developing strategy and leading high performing technical teams • Strong experience with both Prince2 and Agile Scrum approaches to managing projects • Experience managing highly available enterprise infrastructure and network environments • Demonstrated experience to manage complex data requirements, including analysis, reporting and supporting a supporter (customer) focused approach • Ability to liaise with stakeholders at multiple levels of the organisation, including senior leadership • Ability to negotiate hardware, software and IT service procurement contracts with vendors and suppliers • Strong knowledge of PCI DSS compliance and Privacy Principles • Well-developed communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical people
