What is about the Training for Clowmunication ? “Playing with the clown character does not only mean to create laughter or to laugh at oneself, it means to attribute sense to everything. It means to face fundamental values of every human being. 5 days of workshop in clown theatre The aims: 1) To glue the team of managers together and to generate new relationships between participants by using different games. “To play life and to live the game”

2) To improve communication among decision-makers and their public by extending the set of interpersonal skills: To develop the non-verbal, the body feeling, the relation to time and space, to reconsider the way of perceiving and living reality trough humour, discrepancy, transition, etc. 3) To achieve skills to manage better stressful situations and conflicts, like situations in the working surroundings of management and their public (youngsters and their parents) and exterior authorities of the association

4) To develop new motivation that are at the same time basic, effective, related to games, educational and comprehensive for everybody without discrimination against age, culture, religion and language. The educational process: The arrangement. The backstage were the actors can change. A choice of costumes and red noses. A robe that limits the game area. A leader who suggests the topics for the improvisations and the game structure. The other participants as spectators.

The improvisation as basis of clowning. It is about playing alone or in a group a meaningful story about a topic given by the leader with a beginning, a middle part and an ending. The participants enter the stage without preconceived ideas, without scenes that had been prepared beforehand. He develops his play by considering all the elements that are present at that specific moment, feelings, emotions, sensations, perceptions, ideas… The sequence of a session. Games and exercises for physical and emotional warming-up, preparing the improvisations. Improvisations themselves. Feedback of improvisations that serve as an analysis of the actors’ play. Moments of individual and collective evaluation. The improvisations exist around certain topics. The topic is the subject of a story. It is the leader who decides it according to what he wants the participants to explore. Examples: “Imagine you make a journey” if somebody wants to work on imagination. “You will make a declaration to an audience » in order to work on the relationship with an audience or in order to practice delivering a speech. Thematic Improvisations evalue according to the « game structure » The “game structures” are the modalities given for a specific improvisation. Exemple: Single or group improvisation (alone, duo, trio…) Improvisation exclusively based on gestures: without words. The “gromelo” (deformed language) To play characters who do not know each other or, on the contrary, to act in a certain hierarchical relationship with one’s partner: Siamese relationship, relationship between king and servant, etc. The improviser uses all the opportunities that the specific art of clowning offers to him: To dare to replunge into childhood, naivety, impertinence, to allow oneself eccentric behaviour, to play what the “social correctness” does normally not allow. But he always improvises in respect to himself, his partners and the audience. The participants: Directors of leisure centres. The group should be composed of a dozen participants (minimum 8 maximum 14).

Cultural activities: CSM will be in charge of intercultural exchange sessions that will be organised during the training. Theses sessions are an occasion offered by CSM to all the participants so as to present, exchange and discuss together the knowledge they got from the families . CSM will be also providing some activities in the city of Rabat, such visiting historical monuments, and most attractive cultural heritage in the city. Accommodation and lodging The participants lodge and eat in families during the whole period. Staying with a family is a tool for CSM to give the occasion to the participants to use the Arabic language and also to discover the Moroccan way of life. All the participants are asked to respect the families’ environment and don’t behave against the local tradition;

they are also asked to be sociable and are open mind so as to built good and fruitful communication with their members.
