1. Before You Install This chapter provides you information that will help you to prepare for the Hardware RDS (here in after “HW RDS”) installation process. Before you install HW RDS, please check the system requirements.

[1] Introducing HW RDS HW RDS is a system that receives the DVI output from devices and transforms the captured images to H.264 image via RTSP/RTP protocol.
[2] Windows OS and Hardware Requirements The minimum requirements for installing HW RDS are as shown in Table 1 below. Table 1 Windows OS and Hardware Requirements Class Resolution

- Update button is created after completing the firmware file upload. - Click Update button to start the Firmware upgrade.
Click (
) icon in the search field to find the firmware file and then click Upload button.
3-2 Firmware Upgrade Upon completing the upload, Upload button is changed to Update button. Click Update button to upgrade the firmware to the latest version.

Click Reboot button to complete the upgrade and to restart the HW RDS.

[2] Remote Control over Keyboard and Mouse You can control over Keyboard and mouse of PC using HW RDS Serial Receiver.
HW RDS Serial Receiver Installation In order to control over keyboard and mouse of PC, please install HW RDS Serial Receiver. IMPORTANT automatically.
When you install the HW RDS Serial Receiver, the Serial to USB cable driver will be installed
1 Run hwrds_serial_receiver_1.1_setup.exe file and HW RDS Serial Receiver Setup Wizard will appear.
Click Next to proceed.

HW RDS Serial Receiver Configuration The procedure of HW RDS Serial Receiver Configuration is as follows. 1. Open HWRDSSerialReceiverLauncher.txt file. HW RDS Installation Guide 4. HW RDS Serial Receiver Windows Service Restart IMPORTANT If the configuration of HW RDS Serial Receiver is changed, you must restart the Windows service of HW RDS Serial Receiver. 4-1 Open Windows Task Manager (Ctl+Shift+ESC). Check if HWRDSSerialReceiver is working.
