Parent Portal and Homework Policy 1)Assignments/homework are posted on parent portal the day they are assigned in class including the due date. 2) When the work is graded the assessment will be found in parent portal. 3) All missing work will receive a zero until I receive the late work. *Late work will be accepted and I will then enter the grade earned. *Work one day late will be marked down 10%. *Work more than one day late will be marked down 50%. 4) Homework can be submitted online through google classroom by 10PM on the day it is due. * I am available during lunch everyday, and after school on Monday,Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 2:30-3:30 every week for tutoring, to make up quizzes and tests, or to finish computer assignments.
Expectations: 1) All students will be required to write about their biological knowledge and its application to the real world. 2) All students are expected to conduct regular library digital research using proquest. (Proquest is provided by the district) 3) Students are expected to attend class with pens/pencils, college rule paper and a three ring binder. All ninth grade students are required to bring their laptop everyday. 4) The tardy/late policy of the school will be adhered to. 5) Students will receive 12 bathroom passes per semester. Unused passes will be used as extra credit towards the exam grade at the end of semester. 6) Cell phone policy of the school will be adhered to. The first time a phone is used without the teacher consent will cause the student to have their name placed on the whiteboard. Second time a cell phone appears with teacher permission The cell phone will be placed on the teacher’s desk and returned at the end of the lesson. 7)Students are expected to turn some assignments into google classroom. 8)Students are expected to work on labs and activities with their table partners. 9)Students are expected to be in their seats before being released from class at the end of the lesson.
