Winter Concert Warmed Hearts, Brightened Nights

Upcoming Events: Dec. 20 -School Board Mtg, 6 PM

Students were shining bright and singing beautifully at our holiday concert last Thursday, Dec. 14. Throughout the evening performances, every song exemplified the theme of ‘being a light to the world.’ The K-6 concert had many wonderful moments of which students can feel quite proud. Mrs. Lakeman’s 7th grade homeroom enjoyed their drumming music lessons so much that they wanted to share their experience with families. This concert was also the debut for our new Grades 5 & 6 Chorus and Middle School Chorus, both of which demonstrated cohesiveness and focus. Thank you to our students for their performances and congratulations to Mrs. Paine for orchestrating her first concert at CCS.

Thank You Chichester Grange Members of the Chichester Grange recently visited third grade students at CCS and provided them with an early holiday gift of personal dictionaries. Students were able to immediately explore their dictionaries and learned about the variety of tools and information provided in their version of the dictionary. We are very grateful to the Chichester Grange for their continued support of our students and CCS.

Kindergarten and Grade 1 Registration for 2018-2019 School Year The Chichester Central School will be opening registration after the winter break in order to better plan for the opening of school in the fall. The age requirements for entry is age 5 (kindergarten) and age 6 (grade 1) by September 30, 2018. If you will have a kindergarten or 1st grade child (not currently attending CCS Kindergarten) ready to start school in the fall of 2018, please register your child after the holiday break. Thank you for your help.

Our CCS teams appreciate having fans cheer them on during their home games. All students attending games after school must have a responsible parent/adult supervising them. Cheering for our teams shows great school spirit. Guests need to stay in the gym area and should not be wandering into classrooms and around school. Thank you for your help and….Let’s Go Rams!
