In the last BBT sent you late December with a request to ‘not open until 2016’ , I made a big mistake of profiling Mike Seastrom as one of the Callers attending the 57th National Square Dance Convention

BIG MISTAKE! MIKE SEASTROM will not be attending the 57th National in 2016 Can you imagine Mike’s surprise? Can you imagine the 57th Australian National Convention Committee’s surprise? A letter of apology has been sent to Mike. However, when you do see Mike in Australia, please do go up to him and say ‘G’day mate’. My apologies to all for any inconvenience or angst caused. She’ll be right though, ’cos if you’re still wearing the spare tyre when you get to Buderim - there are plenty of Callers and Cuers who will help you ’dance off the excess’. Collect YOUR pack from HALL 2, Sunshine Coast Square Dance Centre, 260 Dixon Road, Buderim between 1.00—3.00 pm ‘over and out Carmel’ From the Registrar The ‘long yard’ is not FULL there is room for more folk to come along and dance June into July in 2016. At the moment Queensland is leading the registrations with Victoria about three lengths down the track. Running a very close 3rd to Victoria is New South Wales. Wouldn’t take much NSW for you to overtake the Victorian contingent! South Australia is rounding the bend and New Zealand is ahead of the other States and Territories in Australia. GET CRACKIN’ and ask around at Club just who hasn’t registered as yet. It will cost you extra in April.

B Y O SASH ..... We know there is quite often a shortage of ‘Men from Mars’ and by the registrations - this will not change at the 57th. Square dancing world wide appreciates those ‘non martians’ who step up and dance the left hand dancer position. Just a thought!!! Why not decorate your sash or make a new one to blend in with the theme??? It is BYO SASH . OUTBACK RED, SKY BLUE, GUMTREE GREEN, WATTLE YELLOW... Mmmm! MARSHALS There can never be too many Marshals. Ever wanted to stand in the middle of the dance floor and help others out? It is NOT TOO LATE to put your name on the list. DRESSED SETS The dressed set parade is such a major part of our Conventions and WE WOULD LIKE MORE SETS TO BE PART OF THIS TRADITION.
