Dear Parent/Carer, Year 9 Options As part of the Year 9 Options process we would like to offer you the opportunity to meet with a senior member of staff to discuss and finalise your child’s Option choices. We have made Option blocks based on the choices of the whole year group and for many students their first choices can be accommodated. However, as previously explained at the Options evening, there are, of course, constraints in terms of staffing and student numbers. We will guide every student, in conjunction with their parents/carers through the next stage of the process where we will be able to finalise their choices and ensure that every child has a curriculum that meets their needs and future aspirations. Initially, we are offering a ‘drop-in’ session on Tuesday 23rd January, in K Hall, when there will be senior members of staff available for you to have an individual 5 minute discussion about your child’s Option choices. This will be between 3.30 and 5.30pm and we hope you will be able to attend at a time convenient to yourselves. If this date is not convenient and you would still like to discuss your child’s Option choices then please contact your child’s Head of House to rearrange an alternative date and time.
