Journal of Communications (JCM) Special Issue on

Dependable Computing for Ubiquitous Services (DCUS) Journal of Communications (JCM), a scholarly peer-reviewed international scientific journal, would like to have a special issue on “Dependable Computing for Ubiquitous Services (DCUS)” (Academy publisher). The latest developments in theories, systems, methods, algorithms and applications in communications have enabled new dimensions in dependable computing for ubiquitous services, such as dependable hardware and dependable software. As applications of dependable computing have permeated in every aspects of daily life, the dependability of computing has become increasingly critical. The aim of the special issue is to provide fast publication outlet for refereed, high quality original research papers in the various aspects of advances in Reliability and its applications. The special issue would focus on the research challenges and issues in the design and implementation (theories, technologies, architecture and applications) on DCUS. DCUS shall always welcome all research results on the traditional and on-going developing reliability technologies and next generation reliability technologies. Novel techniques, algorithms, architectures, and experiences regarding DCUS are invited.

Topics appropriate for this special issue include, but are not limited to: - Software and hardware reliability, testing, verification and validation - Dependability measurement, modeling and evaluation - dependability/Security evaluation/tools - Self-healing, self-protecting and fault-tolerant Systems - Software aging and rejuvenation - Architecture and design for dependability - Fault tolerant algorithms and protocols - Reliability in Web systems and applications - Reliability/security in Internet - Multi-medium/ Bioinformatics in dependable computing - Dependability in distributed and parallel systems - Dependability in real-time systems, database and transaction processing systems - Dependability issues in autonomic computing
