Bracebridge Arts Council (BAC) Seeking Volunteers to Service on its Board of Directors The BAC oversees operation and management of the Rene M. Caisse Memorial Theatre which opened in 2007 as a first class, state-of-the-art performing arts facility. The Theatre is located within a modern complex that also houses Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary School and the Bracebridge Sports and Recreation Complex. The Board of Directors is always looking for members who are energetic, motivated and have a keen interest in promoting Arts Education and in supporting our community theatre. We need members who have special skills or interests in fundraising, business management, community & public relations, legal and accounting skills. The 6th Annual Lemonade Race Was very successful again this year with a great turn out of spectators and the weather cooperated. Congratulations to the Winners: Garfield McMurray, Zaphond Cohrs and Maggie Blanchard The event raised $1,048.00 which will be shared with Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and The Village Square Both GREAT causes! The Library bids a fond farewell to Carol Lepsoe who is moving to Gravenhurst this month Thank You! Carol, for all the time and energy you devoted to the Library You will be missed! Vankoughnet has been a lively community for many years. The Memorial Tree book contains stories and photos about all kinds of vibrant interesting people who lived here, contributing to our area in different ways. Curl up on our sofa on Saturday mornings between 10 am and noon, and learn about our local history.
