PRESS RELEASE | FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Burlington, Vermont --- Green Mountain Transit (GMT) is scheduled to host an areawide Transportation Summit on Friday, May 20. The theme of the summit is Embracing the Future of Public Transportation. We invite the media to join Green Mountain Transit and collaborate with industry professionals, regional experts, and elected officials to exchange ideas and achieve our common vision of transforming transportation in our region. The event includes breakout sessions focusing on our industry, access to jobs, and public transportation as an economic driver. Guest speakers at the summit include: Darnell Grisby, Director of Policy Development and Research for the American Public Transportation Association; Chris Cole, Secretary of Transportation for the state of Vermont; and Matt George, founder and CEO of Bridj.
