04/19/11 RESEARCH INTERESTS My overarching research interest lies in exploring the applicability of social psychology and consumer behavior principles within sport marketing and tourism. Pursuant to these interests, my research has focused on predicting sport consumption behavior by investigating market demand variables (core service quality), game support programs (peripheral service quality), motivation, perceived value, and behavioral loyalty in various contexts, including collegiate sport, professional sport, and adaptive athletics. I am also interested in understanding sport consumption behavior from the perspectives of sponsorship and ambush marketing effectiveness. My secondary research interest centers on understanding sport tourism consumption behavior by investigating tourism constructs, including destination image, tourism motivation, and place attachment. Finally, I enjoy contributing to faculty and student research by utilizing my expertise in research design, measurement, and statistical data analyses.
