[email protected] Latinos for Education is a new Boston-based social venture focused on creating a reinforcing ecosystem of Latino education leaders (cradle to career) committed to advancing high quality education access for all Latino children. We are a national organization that launched in Boston in 2016 and will replicate the program in other cities through a disciplined growth strategy. Our Mission: We develop, place and connect essential Latino leadership in the education sector. Our Programs: We will focus on three key programmatic areas to create an ecosystem of Latino leaders in education: § The Aspiring Latino Leaders Fellowship is an early-career experience designed to accelerate the professional trajectory of Latinos in education roles. The program is a cohort based experience developed within Marshall Ganz’ personal narrative framework and provides Fellows with evidence and competency-based monthly trainings. We launched the first cohort in 2017 and expect to launch a second cohort in 2018. Participants are monitored to ensure they have a career path and ongoing support through the fellowship and as alumni. In addition, these leaders will be expected to identify the next cohort of education leaders to do their part in building the pipeline of Latino talent. § The Latino Board Fellows Program is designed to identify, support and place Latino leaders outside of education on high performing education boards. We partner with Charter Board Partners to provide board training content and we work with local education nonprofits and charter schools to create appropriate matching. We launched the first cohort in 2017 and expect to launch a second cohort in 2018. § The Talent Hub is designed to connect Latinos in education across the country to professional development and job opportunities as well as to one another. The Talent Hub currently hosts a job board and has over 1300 registered members. Our technology platform allows for building a large network of Latinos in the sector and foster a sense of community across the country.
