June 5, 2015 Gary Schubert , President Intermodal Bridge Transport, Inc. 1180 McLester Street Unit # 5 Elizabeth, NJ 07201 Shuyi Du, President COSCO Logistics Americas Inc. 100 Lighting Way Secaucus, NJ 07094 Dear Messrs. Schubert and Du: Early this morning, a supermajority of your Wilmington, CA, based drayage drivers presented a demand for recognition by Teamsters Local 848 to Ozzie Zea, Assistant Vice President for IBT. Specifically, we issued a demand that IBT recognize Teamsters Local Union 848 based in Long Beach, CA, as our exclusive bargaining representative, pursuant to §9(a) of the National Labor Relations Act. Mr. Zea declined to recognize our demands; therefore, we are transmitting our demand to you via both email and certified letter to assure that our demands are fully known to you. We stand ready and willing to submit evidence of our majority status to a neutral third-‐ party, mutually agreeable to both parties. In light of Mr. Zea’s lack of authority with his workforce, please contact our legal counsel, Mike Manley, to make arrangements for such a demonstration by Monday, June 8, 2015, at 5:00 PM PST. Mr. Manley can be reached at 202-‐ 624-‐8711. Thank you in advance for your respect of our rights and for your immediate attention to this pressing matter. Sincerely, IBT Organizing Committee (see attached signatures) cc: Eric Garcetti, Mayor, City of Los Angeles Robert Garcia, Mayor, City of Long Beach Gene Seroka, Executive Director, Port of Los Angeles Jon W.
