Thursday, June 12, 2014 Dear State Central Committee Member: This mailing is the official communication from the Utah Republican Party to all State Central Committee members regarding the upcoming State Central Committee meeting. The next State Central Committee meeting will be held at the Wasatch County Library and Senior Center. The meeting will convene at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014. Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. To submit an excused absence for this meeting, please send an email to [email protected]. I am asking that you make every reasonable effort to attend. There are several items to be aware of as you prepare for the meeting: 1. County Chairs and Vice-Chairs should plan to attend a 30 minute meeting at 8:30 a.m. before the SCC body meets. 2. There will be an overview of the 2014 election cycle, including the release of an official Republican candidates list, highlights of our candidate support program, and a recap of the ongoing Sustaining Membership drive. 3. There will be a presentation related to the importance of Vote By Mail and the effects of requiring voters to opt in each election cycle. 4. C&B Proposals submitted by 5:00 p.m. on June 6 or referred by the C&B committee; and Resolutions submitted by 5:00 p.m. on June 6 will be available online at www.utgop.org under the State Central Committee tab. 5. The committee will hear Officer, Committee, and Delegation reports. 6. Minutes from the March 1, 2014 SCC meeting will be available online and at the upcoming meeting. 7. The annual Utah Republican Party golf tournament will be held on September 8th at South Mountain in Draper. 8. The next State Central Committee meeting dates are: a. September 20, 2014 b. December 6, 2014 c. March 7, 2015
