“A person’s attitude is the key to obtaining benefits for both people and livestock.” Jim Lindsay
Tuesday 27 & Wednesday 28 June 2017 Lancewood Station, via Glenden
How much value is there in extra kg per beast? NQ Dry Tropics and Ben and Juli Pini invite you to Lancewood Station, near Glenden, for a Low Stress Stock Handling School with renowned stock expert Jim Lindsay. Learn how attitudes can affect the outcomes from your stock. Leave with a broader knowledge and understanding of stock handling which will help you make informed decisions to achieve maximum cost-effective production gains with low-stress livestock, whatever your situation may be. End each livestock working session feeling calm and satisfied, with stress free animals. Jim Lindsay was raised on a two million-acre cattle property in South West Queensland and has been working with stock since “before he could remember”. Leaving school at an early age, he worked as a stockman and horse-trainer on North Queensland Gulf properties, before returning to the south-west country to run a stock camp and contract muster. Jim has been involved with large herd management in extensive areas as well as droving cattle and in 1980 purchased his own cattle property near Hughenden in North West Queensland. He has been conducting Stockhandling Schools since the early nineties. Low Stress Stock handling can: • increase productivity and profitablility; • improve management and reduce production costs; • save time and money; • improve meat quality from your livestock; • create quiet, stress free stock and staff ; • provide opportunities to mob cattle for planned grazing; and • build confidence to work through any situation.
