Ulster County Industrial Development Agency Agency Shovel-Ready Grant Program - Town of New Paltz

Dear Mr. Moriello: My firm represents the Ulster County Industrial Development Agency. In connection with an internal review of the Agency Shovel Ready Grant Program we noted that a $4,500 grant awarded to the Town of New Paltz in 2012 for a Shovel Ready project has not been disbursed to the Town due to a failure by the Town to request the grant funds from the Agency. When the Agency agreed to allocate grant moneys from the Shovel Ready Program to the Town the expectation of the Agency was that the Town would move forward with the project expeditiously. Please review the records of the Town regarding this Shovel Ready project and provide the Agency with a status report and an estimate of when the Town will be requesting the grant funds and the completion date of the project. We would appreciate the receipt of a written response no later than November 28, 2014 so that this matter can be discussed by the members of the Agency at the December 10, 2014 meeting of the Agency.
