Performances are generally scheduled for no more than 30-45 minutes on stage, with 10 minutes to set up the stage and 5 minutes to tear down. Performing groups will be selected to provide a variety of performances in keeping with the mission of the Festival. Groups will be selected based upon completeness of the information provided on the application, submitted work sample, participation in previous years, and at the discretion of the Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival Committee. Performance location and time assignment is made at the discretion of the Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival Committee. Once selections have been made, notifications will be made via email. Notifications will be made no later than July 16, 2017. The committee will create a tentative performance schedule and you must confirm your acceptance to participate. Upon acceptance of your participation, all other forms necessary to participate in the Festival will be sent to you via email. Upon acceptance of your participation, we will send Technical Forms for all of your sound and stage needs. All music performances should emphasize Hawaiian music, including Hapa-Haole and Jawaiian styles. All hula performances must be Hawaiian or Hapa-Haole (no Tahitian or other Polynesian dance will be allowed). This is a non-union, non-paid performance. Honorariums may be given at the discretion of the Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival Committee.
