Negative language will not be tolerated. “Please” and “Thank You” are still magic words.   Follow ALL school rules School rules are set by administration and WE (including me) must all follow them in order for everyone to be able to learn. This includes attendance and cheating policies. NO CELL PHONES, IPods, or MP3s!!!!! This includes texting, calculator usage, games, or music. Failure to follow this rule will result in a loss of participation points, loss of the device and/or a phone call home. Grading Scale: A 90‐100% B 80‐89% Homework/Classwork: 10% C 70‐79% Quizzes: 20% D 60‐69% Tests: 70% F 59% and below Extra Help: I encourage you to seek extra help whenever you feel you do not understand a concept fully. Asking questions in class will be the most valuable to you, as well as your classmates. Should individual help be needed, I am available Periods 1, 4, and 8. As I may be busy during the school day, I am also available every day before school starting at 7:00am. Please let me know ahead of time if you are going to come in for extra help. The SSC is also open during all periods of the day and there are math teachers to assist you. Sometimes a little extra explanation can make all the difference. Homework/Classwork: Assignments will be given almost every day, and will be collected or checked in for points. To receive full credit for an assignment, all work must be shown. Homework is essential for your understanding and processing of class material and to your success on quizzes and tests. It is expected that all students will put in their best effort on all work in class as well. Daily class work may be graded and checked. Tests/Quizzes: There will be at least one quiz or test every week. Students are expected to complete their own quizzes and tests on their own and cheating will be treated seriously according to the student handbook. Students must remain quiet until all quizzes and tests are turned in.
