MBA program of our Faculty advances four positions In the prestigious MBA ranking of the magazine América Economía The news was received with enthusiasm by the authorities and represents the fruit of the efforts of the Faculty in this systematic advance in all areas of the School of Economics and Business.

Constancy, hard work, effective link with the environment and a growing internationalization have been some of the components that has led in recent years to the MBA program to move from place 30 to position 17 that today boasts in the Magazine America Economía MBA Ranking. This has been very well received by the academic community because it is an acknowledgment to the Faculty as Business School which is finally the one that contributes and supports this academic program. When asked about this significant increase in ranking, Francisco Castañeda, Director of our MBA points out: "This sustained progress is a joint merit of the professors of our school and our program who are always updating their knowledge and participating in international research networks. Also, the program is constantly looking for internationalization opportunities through student exchanges and double degrees with European and Latin American universities. Although this ranking considers aspects related to the number of full-time professors, teachers with doctorates, foreign students and number of indexed publications, our program has many valuable aspects that are not clearly reflected in the rankings and that are differentiating factors regarding the offer of Business Schools in the region: - Socially focused program: Our MBA Management has promoted a scholarship program that covers 100% of the tuition fees. These include the Latin American Scholarship, Mozambique Scholarship and the Scholarship for Persons with Different Abilities. There are also other forms of discounts to facilitate access to other members of the community.

-Double degrees: Our program has as a policy the search of international agreements to broaden the cultural and academic horizons of its students. There are currently double degree agreements with the University of Applied Sciences Joanneum (Graz, Austria) which allows to obtain the degree of Master Business in Emerging Markets as well as Double Degree with ESSCA (Business School in Paris) Management. This dual degree modality is also active with the University of Applied Sciences Muenster, Germany, through the Master in Marketing and International Sale. -English language: The Management of the MBA has allowed the creation of courses of English taught by experts in that language and in international relations. The courses are taught on Saturdays at a very comfortable time and have benefited dozens of students, both MBA and undergraduate. Academic-Executives: We have incorporated to our program academics with great experience in top management of companies which has positive repercussions in our students since they receive instruction from executives who have been successful in the world of the management and are able to strengthen the concept of School Of Business that the management of the program aims to foster. "Even though we are satisfied with the results because our progress has been remarkable and fast, ranking systems are perfectible; we want to continue to contribute to our students from a more inclusive and collaborative point of view, so that they can go beyond their current talents. Certainly new challenges will arise for us, new tensions in our value proposition, and situations that will lead us to seek new academic and professional articulations.
