Duarte had a nominee from CSUN. I told him that we would take a look at the candidate and decide if we wanted to fund her. Here is what Duarte sent me: I checked our database and we do have student applicant from CSU Northridge. Her name is Lesly Gutierrez Acevedo. She has 4.0 GPA and I have attached her Statements of Purpose for you to review and consider her for a MCLASC fellowship. The cost is $800. Read Her statement that I have attached to your email.

2024 CLTA Conference in LA--we have tried many venues & most are either not interested or are too small. Only the LAX Hilton is interested. Should we consider hosting the CLTA Conference in 2024? Amy Lenord/ Fall Event? Chinese Workshop: Should we have one? If so, we need a Chinese Teacher for the Bd. to help us with the theme & time of year
