Meadowdale Lady Mavs Feeder Basketball PLAYER CODE OF ETHICS 1) I will be positive about my Lady Mavs Feeder Basketball experience and will accept responsibility for my participation by following this Player’s Code of Ethics. 2) I will be supportive of my teammates. 3) I will show appropriate behavior during practices and games. I will not engage in negative comments, disregard for teammates or coaches, disrespect to officials, or other negative behaviors. 4) During practices and games, I will concentrate on basketball, my team, and my responsibilities on the court. I realize time with my team and coach is limited, therefore I will stay focused during both games and practices. 5) I understand that there is no guarantee of equal playing time. I understand that I can talk to my coach if I ever have questions about my playing time, my individual progress, or my role on the team. 6) I will encourage good sportsmanship from fellow players, coaches, officials and parents at every game and practice by demonstrating good sportsmanship myself. 7) I will attend every practice and game that I can, and will notify my coach if I cannot. 8) I will do my very best to listen and learn from my coach. 9) I will accept the calls of the officials and will play to the rules of the game. 10) I will treat all equipment, courts and facilities with respect and adhere to all rules of these areas. 11) I will remember that I am representing my team, my school and the community of Meadowdale and will make good decisions in order to represent them positively. 12) I will do my very best at school.
