The Federationsurged upon the Railway Minister to see that the Railway Ministry takes initiative towards reaching a negotiatedsettlementon pending issues and Charter of Demands.lssues.particularly upgradationof Apex l-evel Group 'C' posts to Group 'B Gazetted" Act Apprentices. Non-implementation of agreement reached betweenthe Federations and full Boardon 7'hFebruary.2014.werebroughtto the n o t i c eo 1 ' t h eR a i l w a yM i n i s t e r . Alter discussion.the MR has instructedthe Railway Board to deal with these issues fbr ensuring that healthy industrial relations are maintainedwith the Federations. The Minister has been categoricalin assuringthe Federationsthat there is no question of privatization of Railways. The Minister also said that improved technologyand improvementof efficiencylevelswill be given priority for making Indian Railways a dynamic infrastructure.He also complimentedthe rail work forcefor their devotionwhich hasresultedin improvemeniof OperatingRatio.
