The Community and School: Merrill is a rural community located in north central Wisconsin with a growing population of 9,661 people. Known as the City of Parks, Merrill serves as the county seat for Lincoln County, which has a growing population of 28,684 people. Merrill High School is a four-year school including grades 9-12 with a current student population of 841. The Class of 2017 has 220 students. The academic schedule operates on a Flex 14 modular day with 30-minute classes. The student population reflects a predominately Caucasian community. The high school has dual enrollment agreements with the state’s Youth and Course Options Programs at an area university and technical school campus. We also offer dual-enrollment courses.

GPA & Rank in Class: Grade point averages (GPAs) are calculated based on a four-point system using the Carnegie-unit value of each course (plus and minuses are not calculated in a GPA). Class rank is computed each semester for all students. Final semester grades are used for the calculation of the GPA.
