: 3 off-white tissue piece with the biggest one of 2 cm and the smallest one of 1 cm in length 0,1 cm in diameter. Totally 3 pieces in a cassette HC/SR
Immunohistochemistry : Immunohistochemical studies were performed by using negative and positive controls. CD20: Positive, EMA: Positive, CD3: Negative, CD30: Negative, CD15: Negative, ALK: Negative, S100: Negative, NFP: Negative.
DIAGNOSIS
: Let gluteal region, tru-cut biopsy, large B cell lymphoma (please see the note).
NOTE
: 1.There are atypical cells with nucleolar prominence and giant cells which are standing one by one or forming small groups in the ground and involving small lymphocytes in the sections. Atypical cells are positive for CD20 and EMA; negative for CD3, CD30, CD15 and Alk, S100 and NFP. Lymphocytes in the ground are positive for CD3. Histomorphological and immunohistochemical findings are compatible with large B cell lymphoma. 2.The case is evaluated together with Prof. Dr. Huseyin Baloglu.
