Dr. M.K Veeraiah, Principal, SSIT welcomed the chairman and all the members of BOG to the meeting and Dr.Ashok Mehatha, Programme Coordinator,TEQIP, SSIT briefed the progress made by the Institution under TEQIP-II-1.2 project and he appraised the members through power point presentation about the progress made by the institution and the activities that were taken up since inception of the project and he provided all the details pertaining to the activities under TEQIP till December 2015 and the proposed activity till October 2016 (Blue print for the period Jan 2016 - October 2016). Several issues under the components of TEQIP-II-1.2 were discussed in detail by the members for the effective implementation. All the members were of the opinion to speed up the activities in order to meet the targets and objectives as mentioned by the world bank / NPIU authorities. The details of discussions and approval of the proposed agenda are outlined as below:
Ø Agenda 1: Details of Expenditure made and Ratification as on December 2015 The activities and the corresponding expenditure that were undertaken since Dec 2015 and specifically from May to Dec 2015 under the different headings of the project were placed before the committee for the approval. All the Members after deliberation, accepted and ratified the expenditure made since last BOG meeting as also appreciated the Institution for meeting the targets as committed.

Ø Agenda 2: Ratification of Foreign Travel : The matter was discussed in detail. Ø Agenda 3: M.Tech Fellowships : Extending the facility of M.Tech Fellowships for the year 2014 -15 batch was discussed in detail. It was resolved to consider all the SC / ST M.Tech students of 2014-15 batch (who have passed all the subjects in first and second semester M.Tech) and 30% of the total students (excluding SC/ST) in each M.Tech programme are considered for the award of fellowship as per the merit list submitted by the departments.
