New Offerings for 2017 MIDDLE SCHOOL SUMMER SCHOOL - Summer school programs are now being offered for students entering 7th and 8th grades! AP Bridge - The Advanced Placement (AP) Bridge Course: We want you to succeed in AP! This one semester class is meant to prepare students for the challenges of upcoming AP courses. Students will learn study skills specific to AP courses, how to handle research and writing, what an AP test looks like and more.

Engineering Mathematics - This course is a 4 – week program (42 hours total instruction) which will provide students the opportunity to apply mathematical concepts to engineering topics covering basic Newtonian physics, electricity and magnetism, thermodynamics, energy, statics, and dynamics. Some pre-calculus is recommended. Scientific Research and APA Writing - This course is intended for the highly motivated student, interested in advancing into AP level science coursework in High School. Since APA is the writing style of science, an early development of the skills needed is desirable. Most science classes in High School and College write in this style. Teachers are working constantly to develop exciting options for students over the summer. Please check our website through May and June for updated offerings.

Summer School Options for MV Students: Ventura County Office of Education: Career Education Center Offerings 2017 Camps will run from July 5-July 28, Monday-Friday. High school students of all grades are invited to enroll in one of our free countywide summer camps designed to introduce exciting career options in a variety of industries. Each camp will specialize in a specific pathway in subjects as diverse as virtual reality, performing arts, health professions, and digital media. Each camp will feature field trips, guest speakers, and special hands-on projects designed to engage and inspire students in the fascinating details of each career option. High school credit is available. The summer camps will run from July 3- 28, Monday-Thursday, at high school campuses across the county. The program is offered through the Ventura County Office of Education and Learn 4 Life Charter Schools, and all camps are taught by certificated classroom teachers.
