Name: Period: Partner’s Name: Faux Small Business Project Overview In this project, you will create a small business. This can be many forms, but the key is to think practically. Apply this project to your goals for after high school. What kind of business or organization do you hope to work in? You may work with a maximum of 1 partner. If your partner is gone more than two full school days, or tardy more than 90 total minutes during the project, your partnership will be dissolved and you will be responsible for turning in your own complete project portfolios. If you suspect this will be a problem, it will be much easier to find a different partner now than to end up working alone halfway through. For this project, you will be creating graphic standards for your business, designing marketing materials, studying email etiquette, and generating positive and negative memos. We will also study social media and work to create some social media marketing as well. Please choose your business carefully as you will be using it extensively. 1. What small business or organization would you like to start. Describe it in detail. What product, service, or message does the business sell or promote? What size of small business would this be? (Keep in mind that this business would ideally have at least two employees since you have to create in-house memos.) Would this business have a brick-and-mortar storefront, office, or studio?
2. Are you working with a partner? Who are they? If so, please sign here to ensure that you have discussed your upcoming schedule and both of you will be here at least 10 days out of the 12 days we will spend on this project:

3. What additional ideas or questions do you have? Can you think of any other materials you would like to learn how to make that would benefit a business such as this one?
