Research Your WW1 Military Ancestors A step-by-step workshop to finding the rich resources available free online relating to Australians who served in the Australian Imperial Forces in World War One. Handouts will be provided. There is a cost of $10 for this course for non-Society members.

Stockton Historical and PokemonGo Walk This walking tour provides a chance to learn about the fascinating history of Newcastle’s oldest suburb – Stockton. And keep the young (and young at heart) amused by playing PokemonGo as we stop at places of historical interest along the course of the tour. Takes place in a pedestrian friendly location. There is a cost of $10 for adults (with accompanying children free). Handouts will be provided. The tour will be subject to weather conditions. Refunds will be available if the tour is cancelled.

How Do I? Family Tree Maker Q&A - FREE This session is aims to answer specific questions you have about using Family Tree Maker genealogy software. We will cover topics such as how to create sources and attach these to records and other questions posed on the day of the workshop. Practical demonstrations will form the basis of the session.
